The Kangaroos were one of six charter members in a new league called the American Indoor Soccer Association (AISA). They played two years in the league before the club went defunct.
The AISA began play for the 1984-85 season. For the 1990-91 season, the league was renamed the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) and is still in existence today.
